Hi!

I am Cristina Metea, Leadership & Transformation Coach for Women Executives.

Hi!

I am Cristina Metea, Leadership & Transformation Coach for Women Executives.

With a rich background in law and organisational culture development, alongside my extensive experience working in multicultural and corporate environments, I have gained a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by female leaders today.

From Depression to Inner Balance, Acceptance and Joy. From Law to Coaching

Throughout my adult life I have been through periods of serious depression, which pushed me to start personal therapy and self-inquiry about 15 years ago. As a client, I have experienced several types of therapies and used multiple tools for self-assessment and self-regulating. I practiced mindfulness through meditation and other tools since 2009 and used a wide range of self-regulating and introspection technics, which I am combining in my work with my clients.

My personal journey took me through several episodes of burnout and dramatic personal shifts, which taught me significant lessons and each of them have been an opportunity to get to the next level in my development.

For  long time in my career and life I navigated without a guiding direction, I rather let myself drive where life took me, driven only by the need to prove myself, stemming out of the surviving mechanisms build up in childhood. Running on a survival mode led me to workaholism, neglecting my family, getting into repeated burnouts and being very unhappy in my personal life despite the successes and advancements in my career.

Hence, I intimately know from my own personal journey how it is to run your life out of the need to prove yourself, rather than loving yourself, looking for external confirmations rather than aiming to find inner peace, joy and deep connections with yourself and people in your life.

A personal dramatic event in my life occurred in 2019 – I lost my elder daughter, Ioana (18y),  in a car accident – and that got me deeper into my spiritual journey, self-questioning and healing process. It made me realize that my life was too much focused on career and material side, out of the need to ensure financial and emotional security. It also made me want to get more from life, both as a way to honour my daughter’s short life, but also to make sure I set a different model for my younger daughter, Irina.

At the time I was spending 80% working in a job that brought me 10-15% of the energy I needed. Hence, I purposefully started to work towards prioritizing my values and increase those activities that brought me energy and joy – self-development, spiritual knowledge, yoga and meditation.

Over time, I realized my true passion lies in helping people unlock their full potential and lead more fulfilling lives, aligned with their highest values. I discovered coaching and mindfulness as powerful tools for both personal and professional transformation and decided to dedicate myself to this calling.

I have a 25-years of experience as commercial lawyer and then legal in-house in an IT corporation brought me to work as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and mid-managers, both on legal and business compliance topics, and on building organizational culture based on ethics and integrity.

During the last 12 years, my work has been mainly in high risk markets, like Central Europe, India and Middle East and Africa, my business expertise cuts across topics and regional markets. I developed a global perspective, with a deep understanding of cultural differences and the ability to fine tune my advice through emotional intelligence, while having a sound understanding of the business needs and challenges.

During my last 12 years, I went through multiple organizational changes, which enabled me to be a great support to mid and high level managers in going through organizational and cultural transformation.

Therefore, I can support you through coaching tools to identify the best ways in navigating sensitive topics, complex scenarios and multi-cultural environments

I am here to accompany you on your journey of self-discovery and professional growth.
I firmly believe that women leaders have the power to create significant change in the world through a leadership style rooted in empathy, responsibility, and genuine connection.
